NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Custom Compact

I've never been one to buy NYC's products because I thought they were low quality. But I tried this because I got it for free.

I was glad they gave me the one for brown eyes because I love the shades.

The picture above are better representations of the colors. The purple is a gorgeous shade! I thought this palette was really nice! The colors are pretty pigmented and look beautiful when put together. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the primer. I would definitely try using a different primer with it. but Other than that, everything else was awesome.

You can see other products, prices and where to buy at NYC's website.

Bath and Body Works Mini Candle

YAY! More Bath and Body Works. I'm a sucker for anything from them. (: They have the best scents for everything. Especially candles!

This smell.... is. to. die. for. Best fall smell ever. I tried to order a big version of this and they didn't have any. ): I was soooo sad. Anyway, I love all of their candles. This one was super pumpkiny, and smelled like I was literally baking pumpkin cupcakes. It also had a total burn time for probably 5 hours. Which is nice for how small it is!

Beauty Blogger '12 VoxBox!

Yay! I got invited to another Influenster Box. Not to mention this box is GREAT! I'm going to split up my post into individual ones for each product, but I just wanted to mention how awesome this program is. Influenster is basically a free box program you can sign up for. You can do tasks and surveys and what not to get badges. When you get badges, you become eligible for different types of boxes. So then Influenster will send you a prequal survey, and if you qualify, you get an awesome box!

I know I've posted about it before but it is seriously really awesome and definitely worth your time.

My box was packed full with goodies! I lovedddd it! Like I said before, I'm going to do separate posts on each product. But obviously, you can see that this box is awesome and better than the box that I actually pay for.

Disclaimer: I received this box completely free from Influenster.

October Birchbox! (goop)

Sorry this post is so late. I've been so busy lately, then their was a death my boyfriend's family so I really have not had time to be posting until now!

I got my October box really late anyways, and it super sucked. Like, really. It sucks. So. Freaking. Bad.

As you can see, most of my box has pretty small samples. Not pleased with this. Also, there was a choice at the beginning of the month of a regular birchbox and a goop birchbox. I chose goop. Bad idea. Really bad idea. All of the newer things were in the regular birchbox this month. ):

Lulu Organics Lavender + Clary Sage Hair Powder

Really, I don't know how I feel about this stuff. The smell is awkward, but not bad. I just feel like that smell shouldn't be in my hair. The amount of product you get really isn't too bad but it sucks that it's not in a resealable package. If you're giving someone a sample that can be used more than once, you should be putting it in a container that they can close back up, imo.
Full Size- $30

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè (24-Hour Miracle Cream)

This stuff. I don't even know. I used a tiny bit of the package and it says you can use it for makeup remover. So I decided to use this challenge on my mascara. NOT A GOOD IDEA. Seriously, this shit burned my eyes so bad. Oh my god it was terrible. I haven't touched it since...
Full Size- $16

Naked Princess Naked Shine Lip Gloss

I already recieved this in the one thelookbag I got. Yet of course, I got all 4 of the lippies, instead of just one. Although I like these, I would not pay the ridiculous amount for a lip gloss. There is literally nothing special about this. Not to mention they don't give you hardly any to try. It's a nice gloss, but wayyy too expensive for me. Oh, and also my paper majig it came with says coco and I actually got coral. But, whatevs.
Full Size- $26

Karuna Hydrating Treatment Mask

Let me be honest here, I have not tried this. Whoops. I always forget about it. I'm kind of excited to try it though because I like the idea. Yet I did read that some people thought it felt really nasty and slimy on their face. Welp, I guess we'll see.
$28 for 4 Masks

Luna Bar-Lemon Zest

I know everyone complains about getting food in their boxes, but I like it because I'm a fatty. But when I heard this is what I would be getting I was really pissed. I thought I was going to hate it because I don't like very many lemon things. I actually liked it though. I thought it was delicious!
$18.75 for 15 Bars

So, theres my pretty crappy box. Filled with mostly foil packets and very few time uses. I'm going to stick with birchbox for another couple months and if it doesn't improve I'm dropping that shit like it's hot. :P

September Birchbox!

First post of September, YAY!

First off, I want to start by saying I got this thing super late. Which I was quite frustrated with. Also Birchbox emailed me saying they sent my box, which in fact they did not until 3 days later. Thanks for that.

Anyways, I can't rant too much about the timing because I got an awesome box again this month. WOOO!

BVLGARI Mon Jasmin Noir

I tried so hard to like this perfume because it's a beautiful scent. I think it's a bit too mature for me though. It smelled terrible on my skin. But then again, I can't wear musky scents. But if you like musks, this is definitely a great scent for you!

Full Size- $83.00

Birchbox Brush Guard

I've been using these since I got them, and I like them a lot. They are great for tapered brushes that aren't staying too tapered. I have a couple like that that I've been using them on and they have been working pretty well.
4 Pack- $5.50

Lace Twistband

Okay, its cute. But it's elastic. A piece of tied elastic. That's it. A piece of crap.
You can buy a 12 pack of these pieces of crap for $22.00. Yes, 12 for $22. If you really HAVE to have these, I suggest going on etsy and getting them for much cheaper.

Wei to Go Sleep Over Kit

So this is a little sleepover pack with cleanser and CC Cream, which is like the new BB cream. Apparently there is supposed to be more coverage but I didn't really see any difference. But I loved the cleanser. I've actually never used an oil based cleanser because I thought it would break me out. It didn't and it actually made my skin feel amazing!

Full Size- $19.00

Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator

This is an awesome exfoliating cleanser and really did rejuvenate my face. I'm actually planning on purchasing this when I run out. Two skincare loves in one box? Yay!

Full Size- $34.00

Color Club- Put a Pin In It

This is a rose gold foil and is very pretty. The only thing about it is it does show EVERY imperfection, and looks more silver than gold. But it is still very pretty.

How did you like this month's Birchbox? Did you find anything you loved?

Birchbox trade!

As I said in my last post, I traded my Pixi eyeshadow pen with a nice lady on makeuptalk.com.

This is what I traded her for:

The polish is Color Club Blue-Ming.

The color is actually a bit greener than this, but it's still such a beautiful color. I actually already bought another bottle off of Birchbox since this is only a mini. This is my favorite color, and is seriously SO pretty. My two best friends are also currently wearing the color. (:

The other product I got is a Stila Lip Glaze in Pinata.

This is the gloss over a *very very* sheer application of theBalm Staniac in Beauty Queen. It is actually glittery, which doesn't show up in these pictures. I really love it though. It's a beautiful color to go with a darker lip or just by itself.

Do you ever trade things in your Birchbox? What was the last thing you traded?

August Birchbox!

Yay, my August BB came in the mail today! From reading the BB thread on Makeuptalk.com, I had seen so many crappy boxes for this month. Then yesterday I was bad and peeked. BUT, I'm happy I did because my box is awesome this month!!!

Beauty Fixation Makeup Remover Swabs

So, this is missing from the box picture, and has a crappy picture. Why? Because mine came open and this is the picture I sent to Birchbox, yet a bit cropped here. I also used the other swab without thinking about taking a box picture. Whoops! But anyways, I liked these swabs. They would be a really good thing to have in your purse for touch ups, or if you're really messy with eyeliner or mascara (TOTALLY ME). They're probably not the best value, but I might buy some just for my purse.

24 Swabs- $5.00

Pixi Lid Last Shadow Pen in Brun Beam

I've seen the Pixi brand in Target but I've never tried it. And still won't be seeing as I am trading this! I would use it, but I have so many brown eyeshadows and had the chance to trade for Color Club Blue-Ming which I am dying to get. I think this is probably a nice eyeshadow, just not what I was wanting!

Full Size- $18

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy La Fleur

This. Scent. Is. To. Die. For. Seriously, I LOVE this perfume. It's like fruit and flowers made sweet babies together. I'm obsessed with it... And a spray top.... Birchbox loves me this month. Seriously though..... I really love this, and everyone should at least try it!

Full Size/2.5 Oz- $70

Miss Jessie's Quick Curls

Really? Another product I love? The Birchbox gods have answered my prayers and sent me an awesome box. Girls, if you have curly or wavy hair that needs tamed, Miss Jessie's is your answer. I used this today and I had NO frizz. None. I always have frizz, and this tamed it! I also ordered samples of Pillow Soft Curls and something else from them (oops, I can't remember!). You can get two free samples from their website. You have to enter your card number but it won't charge and it can be a prepaid card. And they are huge samples. 1 oz for most, some are .5 but still pretty big! Any way, this sample was really big, 2oz which is worth 8 bucks. And I've never really found products that work well with my hair so I will probably purchase one of their products!

Full Size- $32

Schick Hydro Silk Razor

I already have this razor, but let me tell you, it is awesome. I got it as a free sample a long time ago, and have run out of refills. I was about to buy more until I found out this would be in our box! I really do love this razor and it gives me the closest shave. Not sure what is so special about it but it really does work well!

Full Size- $9.99

So obviously I LOVED this Birchbox. Many people were unhappy this month, but I'm glad I got things that I loved, especially the Quick Curls. What did you get in your BB this month, and did you love it?

NOTD July 26

So I spent many hours on my nails today, but they came out awesome!

Placing the glitter took soooo long though!

What nail trends have you been loving lately?

Also, my anniversary is in a couple days and I still haven't gotten my boyfriend anything. o.O Any ideas on what I should get him?

July Birchbox!

July has been such a busy month for me, hence the reason for not blogging much. Many birthdays this month, including mine, my anniversary, and I'm moving into my apartment! So many things to do, such little time.

But, I now have a little time to blog! So I was pretty impressed with this month's BB, although not all of the items really fit my taste. The collab boxes are always the best ones!

This months box was in collaboration with Glamour Magazine and had the theme of The 5 Senses.

Tea Forte Minteas Cocoa Mate

Honestly I hated these things. My boyfriend on the other hand loved them. There were a bunch in the pack though, and it was a nice sized sample. I heard that many people didn't like these though. Tea companies shouldn't try and make mints...

3 Pack- $9.95

Blinc Mascara

This was an awesome sized sample, and I wanted to love it sooo bad. But ever since I got Benefit They're Real, nothing else compares. This mascara really did nothing for my lashes. Which was very sad to me because I love having different mascaras!

Full Size- $26.00

Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint

I can't figure out why, but when I got this I immediately wanted to trade. Annnnd no one wanted to trade back.. So I've decided that maybe I could try this. It is the bigger sized sample, which is awesome! I haven't tried this yet but am going to soon. Once I do I will try to do a review and have swatches.

Full Size- $38.00

Alterna Bamboo UV+ Color Protection Fade-Proof Fluid

This is another thing I automatically tried trading. I don't really like hair oils and those kind of hair products. Not that they suck, I just have naturally healthy hair. Although I did dye my hair ombre recently and it fried the crap out of my ends. ): But even with putting oils on my ends it seems like nothing is helping it. I might end up trying this, but I'm not sure yet.

Full Size- $24.00

Harvey Prince Hello

This was the only thing I loved in the box. And normally I don't like the perfume samples because there is such a big scent range that I don't like.(I know, I'm picky. My boyfriend always complains!) But this perfume, the scent is sooooo wonderful. I'm terrible at explaining perfumes so I won't even try. But seriously, I LOVE it. So much that when I'm out of the sample I will probably end up buying full size.

Full Size- $55.00

Birchbox Earbuds

This is the only thing in my box that I was actually really disappointed in. Seriously, the sound quality in these are TERRIBLE. And it's not like I expected Beats Audio or Bose quality, but I at least expected them to be up to par with the cheapies you buy at the store. No. Just no. Birchbox, please don't make something you can't deliver on.

Full Size- $10.00

So I guess I didn't really like many things in this box, but I did think that they were very versatile and very good choices. The only things that weren't really up to par was the mascara and the earbuds. I also love dramatic lashes, which is probably the reason I don't like the blinc mascara. But I definitely feel like BB has been stepping up their game lately, which is exciting!

Target Summer Beauty Bag

Guess what came today?? My Target Beauty Bag!!!
Every season Target has a beauty bag and I've gotten the Spring, and Summer bag.

The items included in the bag are:
Aveeno Living Color Shampoo and Conditioner
Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait
Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo and Conditioner
TRESemme Split Remedy Shampoo
Neutrogena UltraSheer Sunblock

Since this bag was free, I'm totally happy with it. I just wish there wasn't so many hair samples. But I was really happy about the sunblock because I needed some sunblock to go swimming. The spf 70 really worked and it didn't break my face out. I was glad to get the Lip Butter sample, but I didn't enjoy the color. It was much to glittery for me. Maybe I would use it for going out. But anywho, I love the bag and am already using it as an extra travel bag. I love getting these and can't wait for the Fall bag to come out.

Bath & Body Works Fine Fragrance Mist

I've been trying out my Bath and Body Works fragrance in Twilight Woods for a few weeks now and I love it. For a body mist it has really good staying power. I think I will probably switch to another scent though for a while because this scent seems really fall or winter themed to me.

For $14.00, you get a really decent amount of mist so it is definitely worth the price. Mine will last forever because I use a lot of different scents.

You can buy this in stores, or at the BBW online store here.

Here's a picture of my kitten and my fragrance! (:

NOTE: I received this product complimentary for testing from Influester, but my opinions are my own and I am not paid to say these things.

Cupcake Nails and Facebook

So today I got really bored and decided to look up some nail tutorials and stumbled upon a cupcake nail tutorial. I've seen these before but always thought they were too difficult. When it comes to a nail brush, I just can not control that thing. But I decided to try these nails because it looked really easy.

Here's the results!

I think they are SUPER cute. I'm really happy with how they came out. You all should go check out the girl's youtube I found the tutorial on. Her username is cutepolish. She has a bunch of videos that show exactly how to do it and it makes it seem really easy. I will probably try some more nail tutorials of hers.

I also wanted to note that Perfectly Pigmented now has it's own Facebook! You can check it out then like it here!

June Birchbox

Ahh, finally a box I actually WANT to post about. This BB was awesome for me this month. Well partially because I'm trading one of my items. (:

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Liner

I love love love this liner. It's super black, and goes on REALLY well. I've tried many different liquid liners in a marker form and none of them really work out, which sucks because the normal liquid liners are such a pain to apply. This liner has awesome staying power, and makes a wonderful clean line.

And a bonus, it's only $15.00! This is my new HG eyeliner.

Melvita Floral Water

This is the item I have traded in my box. I'm not really sure what floral water really is.. On the BB website, it says that it refreshes and soothes skin. I realllly wanted the Stila One-Step Bronzer, but I didn't get it in my box. So I went to the trade forum on MakeupTalk and found someone to trade my floral water for bronzer which I'm waiting to get! I'm really excited to get it. Anyways, I didn't really have a use for this product and I have no opinion on it.

Full Size- $22.00

theBalm Stainiac in Beauty Queen

Again, another product that I love! It's supposed to be for your cheeks or lips, but I don't think I will ever use it for a cheek tint. It looks awesome on my lips, especially when it's layered on.

Terrible picture quality, but whatever. It looks awesome. I would definitely recommend this stain for anyone. It's gorgeous!

Full Size- $17.00

Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream

First off, this was a tiny sample. Seriously. It doesn't seem that small, but it is. NOT a deluxe sized sample. But anyway, I didn't even really like it. It could be moisturizing, but the smell puts me off. It smells like Vicks. What kind of skin cream would want to smell like that? Not my favorite thing, but I'll use it because it's such a small amount.

Full Size- $16.00

Cynthia Rowley Band-Aids

I actually really like these Band-Aids. They're super cute so you can look chic, even with a cut! I will definitely be using these on the next cut I get!

The set on BB comes with Neosporin and a fabric pouch that sells for $11.00. But I also hear you can get just the Band-Aids at CVS for around $3.00. Much more affordable.

John Varvatos Star U.S.A. Cologne

I was a little peeved at the idea of this for a while, and I'm still not the happiest about it. This is a men's sample of cologne that they put in our boxes for Father's Day. What that actually means is buy our men's subscription. It's a little annoying because my boyfriend only likes certain things, especially with cologne. He knows what cologne he loves and that's all he buys. I had to beg him to just try it on one time. It smells awesome, but it was a disappointment to see these go out in the women's subscriptions.

1.7 Oz- $55.00 3.4 Oz- $70.00

This box was a total win for me. It didn't contain the $36 Stila Bronzer, but I still get to trade for it and had 3 other items that I loved. I'm really happy that Birchbox stepped it up this month especially with the Dr. Jart mishap last month. I will be staying at least until next month, as they are doing a collab box with Glamour Magazine, so that should be interesting.

Sircle Samples Update

So I just realized that I haven't posted anything I've gotten from Sircle Samples!

The first thing I received was the nail grab bag, which has Essie Set in Stones inside, which I forgot to take a picture of. -.- Anywho...

Napoleon Perdis Lip Glosses

Strawberry

Pineapple

I really enjoyed these. They were a bit sticky but I got used to it pretty fast. Strawberry is a really nice color on my lips, and Pineapple doesn't really do anything but give a little shine. They both smell AWESOME!

Glamour Doll Eyes Eyeshadow- Chocoholic

The owner of this company is actually on the MakeupTalk forums, which I'm on daily. So I think that's kind of neat that I know who makes these shadows. Anyways, I got the color Chocoholic which I LOVE! It's a beautiful dark brown with just the right amount of shimmer. This color will go really great with a lot of looks. I'm really excited to have received this. I will probably purchase more colors from GDE soon.

Lila Grace Lotion- Fresh Lilac

I did NOT like the smell of this. I'm not a big flowery person though. I tend to lean towards more fruity scents. I didn't even try the lotion because I didn't want the smell on me. I just gave it away. But whatever, it was free!

RAW Color Brush Set

So this set came with a concealer brush, a foundation brush, and a travel brush. The travel brush is crap. It's plastic with cheap synthetic bristles. Oh well. The foundation brush.... is freaking amazing. I was honestly not expecting such a nice brush. I've been reaching for this every time I do my foundation. I REALLY like it. I honestly haven't tried the concealer brush because I use my Sigma F75 for that. But the bristles are really soft and it feels like a nice brush. I think I remember someone saying that they saw this same set selling for $40 somewhere. Which is pretty awesome!

Apothederm Moisturizing Cream

Ever since I received this I have been using it as my go to moisturizer every day. I really like the way it makes my face feel. It gives me enough moisture but doesn't leave my face greasy like most moisturizers do. I have a normal-oily complexion so I have problems finding a good moisturizer. Also, this was an AWESOME sample size. It's .5 oz. I've been using it for a while now and you can barely tell I've made a dent in it. I will probably purchase this IF I ever finish the sample.

That's all I've gotten so far. I should have a lip gloss sample on the way, but I ordered it a while ago. So I'm not sure whats up with that. But I really enjoy this site and they have given me some pretty awesome stuff for free. If you would like to sign up, click here.

What all have you gotten from SircleSamples?
